Dr. Roth has extensive experience serving as an expert witness in Medical-Legal disputes. He is often called upon by attorneys for both the Plaintiff and Defense to offer his expert opinion on matters of causality, injury, severity, appropriateness of care, need for future medical care, costs of treatment, and lost wages, among other issues. In this capacity, Dr. Roth often reviews medical records, and may be asked to perform an Independent Medical Evaluation, drafting a written report when requested. Dr. Roth enjoys these opportunities to assist the legal system in understanding the complex factors involved in medical-legal disputes, and he takes his responsibility as a neutral party very seriously. Dr. Roth is respected by attorneys for both the Plaintiff and the Defense as an expert who "calls it like he sees it," rather than being a "hired gun." Attorneys count on Dr. Roth to provide thoughtful, well-reasoned, and accurate opinions that can be backed up with medical literature.

Please note that Dr. Roth performs all Medical-Legal related examinations at a different location from his patient care related activities. If you are engaging Dr. Roth in a Medical-Legal consulting capacity and an examination is requested, all in-person examinations will be performed at 1320 El Capitan Dr., Suite #200, Danville, CA 94526. In situations where this location is too burdensome for a client, on occasion, special arrangements can be made on an individual basis for Dr. Roth to travel to a location closer to the client.
